Studietur 20: Creative use of technology in Teacher Education

Sæt fokus på Creative use of technology og Artificial Intelligence!

Visit to lecturer Tim Neumann will give us insight into:

  • Portfolio Project: Investigating the use of an e-portfolio for teacher training and teacher professional development.

Trainee teachers on placements in schools as well as in-service teachers need to keep a record of their development. At UCL, we have recently investigated a low-cost option for an e-portfolio based on WordPress, and also looked into current practice of performance management in UK schools to keep track of teacher professional development.

  • Research at the UCL Knowledge Lab:

The UCL Knowledge Lab investigates creative use of technology to enable people to improve their work. While AI is gaining traction as a support tool for teachers, other classroom-based technology for example enables teachers to get a real-time view of engagement levels during computer-lab lessons. This session would cover a selection of examples of research projects from the UCL Knowledge Lab.

At the end of the meeting there will be time for discussions between presenter and participants on how to use creative technology in the classroom.

Aside from that we will be given a presentation of the institution, that has been – Ranked number one for education worldwide in the 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 QS World University Rankings
